Eric J. Thomas, M.D. is a distinguished graduate of Fordham College and Cornell University Medical College, where he demonstrated his academic excellence and commitment to the field of dermatology. After completing his internship at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT, Dr. Thomas underwent comprehensive training in dermatology at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. During his illustrious career, he has also provided dermatology surgery and consultation services at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Center in Manhattan.
As a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Thomas has made significant contributions to the field of dermatology. He serves as a Senior Attending at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT, where he has chaired the Division of Dermatology in the Department of Medicine for several years. His expertise has been instrumental in implementing the annual Skin Cancer Screening Clinic in collaboration with Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center.
Dr. Thomas has also authored several articles on the genetics of skin cancer and the cosmetic aspects of skin care in esteemed medical literature. His pioneering work in the clinical applications of lasers in Connecticut has established his office as a leader in the field. In fact, his office was one of the few in the state to use a copper vapor laser and among the earliest to use the ultrapulse laser. Moreover, they were among the first to introduce PUVA phototherapy for psoriasis into office practice and use an excimer laser for spot treatment of localized psoriasis.

Christina Felizardo, PA-C is a dedicated and highly skilled board-certified dermatology Physician Assistant who is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, radiant skin. Christina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Western Connecticut State University and went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Stony Brook University. During her PA school training, Christina completed an elective rotation in dermatology, where she gained invaluable hands-on experience in the field. This rotation, combined with her background as a medical assistant in a prominent dermatology office, solidified her interest for dermatology and provided her with a deep understanding of the various skin conditions that she would encounter in her future practice.
Today, Christina brings extensive experience in diagnosing and treating various types of skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. She recognizes that early detection is critical and works closely with patients to identify any suspicious moles, growths, or other abnormalities during routine skin exams. In cases where skin cancer is detected, Christina ensures that her patients receive prompt and effective treatment, which may include radiation therapy, surgical excision, or other specialized procedures. By staying proactive and working closely with her patients, Christina is able to ensure that they receive the care they need to achieve the best possible outcomes.
